car in
front of the house.
Mary:
car? So
what? Is that unusual?
John: I think it's
same care
that was there yesterday. It's
black 1996
Chevrolet.
Mary: Maybe it
belongs to
people who
just moved in across the street.
John: No. They
don't have
car. The
man owns
grocery
store and he drives
truck from
store.
Mary: Well, anyway,
why are you so interested in
car in
front of
house?
John: It's strange,
somehow. There's
man
sitting in
front seat
and he's not
same man
who was sitting in
front seat
yesterday.
Mary: If you're so
curious, why don't you go ask
man who he
is.
John: OK, I'll do
that.
(John goes outside and
up to
car)
John: Hi. Are you
waiting for somebody?
Mr. X: Yes. My
wife. She's getting
children.
Why?
John: Well, my wife
saw
car in
front of
house for
two days and we thought you might be
new
neighbor, so I came out to say hello.
Mr. X: No, we don't
live in this neighborhood.
children
are taking piano lessons and my wife just went in to pick
them up.
John: Oh, I see.
Are you going to be waiting long? My wife has some coffee on
stove.
Mr. X: Thanks, but
I see my wife coming. Thanks anyway for
coffee.
John: Sure.
Anytime. You come this way everyday?
Mr. X: No. My
brother usually drives
kids to
their piano lessons.
John: Oh, I see.
Well, nice talking to you.
